John Vernon Welch

John Vernon Welch - Real Estate and Health Care Executive in Georgia

An executive and business owner in health care and real estate, John Vernon Welch started his career in 1987 as an EMT and Medic in the USAF, soon after earning his nursing degree from the Regents University of New York. During his first work experience as a USAF staff sergeant, John Vernon Welch was one of the youngest managers in an emergency room.

After 16 years working in various hospitals as an ER nurse and manager, Mr. Welch Founded Serenity Hospice Care and worked as chief executive officer in 2006. A year later, he became president of the Serenity Hospice Foundation, a non-profit organization providing basic needs grants to 64 counties across Georgia. He was the owner and CEO of the company until 2018.

In 2007, Mr. Welch founded Welch Real Estate Company, focusing on building and remodeling medical office buildings throughout Georgia. Furthermore, from 2012 to 2019, he served as CEO of Medixx Ambulance Company, a non-emergent company he founded.

Currently, John Vernon Welch serves as president of Welch Real Estate Company and Accordia Healthcare, a company he founded in 2014 to provide both urgent care and family practice service to patients in north and south Georgia. Since its foundation, the health care company has expanded to seven locations in Georgia, including Vidalia, Statesboro, and Dublin.

Mr. Welch supports several local organizations, including Georgia CASA, a non-profit dedicated to helping children in foster care and is a member of the Chamber or Commerce in several counties in Georgia. He spends his free time with his children, doing DIY projects, and time at the lake doing water sports.
